Anxiety Counselling for Highly Sensitive and Neurodivergent Women
Anxiety is your body’s natural response to stress, complex demands, and significant life events. It’s our brain’s way of signalling that something needs attention. For highly sensitive women and neurodivergent women, these signals can feel even more intense, especially when life expects you to push through, mask your true needs, or stay “on” all the time.
When we’re unable to respond to these signals in a supportive way, the brain increases its messages. The more we ignore the early signs of stress and burnout, the louder the anxiety becomes. Over time, anxiety stops feeling like a helpful signal and starts showing up as overwhelm, exhaustion, panic, chronic worry, or a sense that you have to hold everything together even when you’re barely coping.
That debilitating feeling isn't a personal flaw. It’s your body asking for change.
How I Work With Anxiety
In my practice, I support deep-thinking, deep-feeling women to understand the root causes of their anxiety. Instead of forcing yourself to “just calm down”, we explore what your nervous system is reacting to and what it needs in order to feel safe, energised, and grounded again.
Together, we identify strategies and techniques that suit your brain and body, especially if you’re sensitive to stress, emotionally intense, or navigating life as an autistic, ADHD, or otherwise neurodivergent woman.
Rather than only talking about the problem, I use practical, evidence-based methods that help calm the nervous system and rewire old stress responses. This may include mindfulness, EFT Tapping, somatic practices, nervous system education, and other integrative tools that work with your biology, not against it.
My goal is to help you:
reduce anxiety and overwhelm in daily life
feel more in control of your mind and emotions
prevent or recover from burnout
build a calm, sustainable rhythm that works for you
reconnect with joy, purpose, and your own inner steadiness
You don’t have to navigate anxiety on your own
